Iced Matcha Latte Recipe

It's the perfect pick-me-up for a warm day and can be customized with your preferred milk or sweetener. Serve it over ice for a chilled café-style experience at home, or blend it for an extra frothy twist.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tsp matcha green tea powder ceremonial or culinary grade
  • 2 tsp hot water not boiling
  • 1 cup milk of choice dairy, oat, almond, soy, etc.
  • 1-2 tsp simple syrup or sweetener of choice adjust to taste
  • 1 cup ice

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Matcha: In a small bowl, sift 1 teaspoon of matcha powder to remove clumps. Add 2 teaspoons of hot water (around 175°F/80°C) and whisk vigorously in a zigzag motion until smooth and slightly frothy.

  • Sweeten the Matcha: Stir in 1–2 teaspoons of simple syrup or your preferred sweetener until fully dissolved.

  • Assemble the Drink: Fill a glass with 1 cup of ice. Pour in 1 cup of milk.

  • Add Matcha: Slowly pour the whisked matcha over the milk and ice. Stir well or leave layered for a beautiful presentation.
